Planning Travel in a Time of Crisis

With a great deal of uncertainty surrounding the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak, many in the travel industry are wondering – rightly – whether or not to encourage travel until there is more clarity on the virus and its associated disease. 

Here at Goway, we’ve taken a number of steps to provide more flexibility to those planning their next trip during this outbreak. On top of providing regular Travel Alert updates, accessible through the Goway.com homepage, we’ve implemented a unique program for those that book new trips. For new bookings made through to the end of March, 2020, Goway will provide a Future Travel Voucher valued at 25% of any associated cancellation fees, which will be valid for 1 year from date of issue (terms and conditions apply). If combined with a Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) insurance program, which we highly recommend, this ensures our guests are completely protected financially, should they need to postpone or change their trip.

In addition to Goway’s efforts to protect our guests’ travel funds, many airports, local partners, and airlines are doing their best to both ensure safety and to encourage travel. From health screenings and specialist cleaning crews in airports, planes, and many sites of interest, to lowered prices and plentiful special offers due to increased inventory, there is plenty of reason to be confident that with a little common sense, it is safe to travel during this time.

This year, as we celebrate our 50th Anniversary, that commitment remains a key pillar of our identity as an organization.
