Where were you born?
I was born in Ecuador.
Where in Central & South America have you travelled?
I have travelled to Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Bolivia.
How long have you worked at Goway?
I have worked here for three years.
What’s your favourite destination in Central & South America and why?
Iguassu Falls, but both the Argentine and Brazilian sides. At Iguassu Falls, you are at the heart of the world’s largest waterfall and the waters connect to the Amazon. Their sheer grandeur always takes my breath away. Only being a short hop from either Buenos Aires or Rio de Janeiro means the falls are a must on any trip to the region. I always leave a piece of me in Iguassu and always carry Iguassu in my heart.
Also, I love the Galapagos Islands. I love nature and I think that Galapagos is the waiting room to heaven (if you believe in God and even if you don’t you will find something spiritual about the islands). They are a pristine and unique spot in the world.
What’s the most-requested destination by your clients?
Costa Rica is always popular, particularly as the snow falls in North America. It has the budget to 5-star offerings as well as a wealth of activities that tap into the equally abundant cross section of wildlife and natural environments.
What’s your favourite Latin Food?
Cazuela, is a typical dish in Chile. The most common types are made of chicken or beef, but there are also other types made from pork and turkey. I also like ceviche and bandeja marinera. Basically, anything that has seafood.
What are your tips for selling Central & South America or the Polar Regions or a particular country?
It is safe, it is close, and it is easy to get to. Central and South America have everything someone could want: culture, luxury, budget, adventure, food, drink, and fun. With over 20 countries to visit—all with different things to see—repeat trips (bookings) are there to be had!
