Think Outside the Box when Flying Within South America

Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu

South America is home to some of the world’s most iconic sites, including Machu Picchu, Iguassu Falls, the Amazon, the Galapagos Islands, Patagonia, and Easter Island. It’s also where travellers will find some of the most vibrant, cosmopolitan, and cultural cities from Buenos Aires, home to Tango and parilla (BBQ), to Rio with its beaches and the famed Carnaval, to Lima and Cusco and the Incan past and their modern fusion culinary offerings.

South America is also big, and getting around will often entail air travel. Luckily, it’s never been easier to get around South America by air and come up with new and exciting itinerary combinations. As the region grows, so too does the region’s air connectivity. As one of the largest sellers of air tickets in North America, Goway Travel has not only the air expertise to assist in complicated air itineraries, but the destination experts needed to help put those itineraries together for you and your clients.

An interesting combination to consider is pairing the Nazca lines with Machu Picchu by taking a flight from Paracas on the Peruvian Coast to the ancient Incan capital of Cusco starting June 2018. Previously, travellers had to return to Lima to connect between Paracas and Cusco. Now, Goway can create a Lima, Paracas (Nazca), and Cusco (Machu Picchu) combination without extra flights. You can also look at connecting Cusco and Machu Picchu with the world’s largest waterfalls, Iguassu. This flight departs three to five times a week. With the new quick and online visa application for Brazil travel, this combination is not only easy, but also a truly memorable one.

An exciting new internal Peru combination is going from Machu Picchu to the Peruvian Amazon. Previously, the most convenient option to see the Peruvian Amazon was to fly 40 minutes from Cusco, which allowed only lodge-based Amazon stays in the Puerto Maldonado region. Now, with a direct 90-minute flight from Cusco to Iquitos, starting June 2018, your clients can combine Machu Picchu with a 5 star cruise. Amazon cruises are only available in the country’s north. Choose from the Delfin fleet of vessels, I, II and III, or the Aria, to explore the remote and beautiful northern Peru Amazon.

Torres del Paine, Chile

Another new flight combination connects the eastern countries of Chile and Peru. Chile and Peru both share a border, but few Globetrotters combine these two amazing countries in one vacation. Departing three days a week, travellers can now fly from Santiago, Chile—after a wine tasting, Atacama visit, or journey to Easter Island with the majestic and mysterious Moai—to Cusco and onto famed Machu Picchu.

Speaking of Easter Island, did you know travellers can fly via Easter Island to Tahiti and onwards to New Zealand and/or Australia? Now you do! The Classic South Pacific & South America is the ultimate stopover option to and from Downunder and Goway has it all planned out and ready to go.

Goway is not only your one-stop-shop for all things Central & South America, but for all things airfare, from simple point-to-point flights to complicated itineraries. Expand your options for itinerary combinations and expand your options for flights with Goway Travel.
