Posted on February 6th, 2016 by Ted Healey
After months of hard work, Goway is excited to announce the launch of our brand new 2016-17 Downunder brochure, North America’s most comprehensive travel guide to DOWNUNDER (Australia, New Zealand, and the Islands of the South Pacific).
This award-winning brochure features every possible style of travel imaginable! From private touring to cruises, family vacations to Australian and New Zealand working holidays and VIP Travel arrangements, and everything in between! Here are some new highlights for the upcoming ’16-17 season:
A refreshed and updated range of South Pacific Holiday of a Lifetime vacations. Discover Papua New Guinea has two departure dates – 13 Sep ’16 and 11 Apr ’17. It is slightly shorter than last year’s but has even more cultural sightseeing included. Fully escorted from North America, this is a 12-day once in a lifetime, small group experience to a unique destination.
The Waltzing Matilda itinerary has some great new inclusions, including a special dinner at Tjapukai Cultural Park, a new Great Barrier Reef Cruise, and some great new hotels for ’16-17.
An exciting new Snowbird Vacation! In addition to our Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, New Zealand, and Cook Island Snowbird Longstay ideas, we are pleased to introduce North of Sydney, covering Australia’s Central Coast. The Central Coast is just over an hour north of Sydney. The Mantra Ettalong is a gorgeous beachfront resort situated in a lovely seaside village – the perfect winter escape from our long cold winters.
To cater for an increasing market for health, wellness and nature-based travel ideas, we have created a new style of travel we call ‘Goway Nature Experience’. Paperbark Camp is a safari style tented camp just two hours south of Sydney. It offers fine food and wine, comfy canvas tents, and a peaceful bush setting. Bells at Killcare is a little more upmarket and where the Hamptons meets coastal Australia – with luxury accommodation and gourmet food and wine.
We are reintroducing Broken Hill – the Accessible Outback. Originally founded as a mining town and now known as the Hollywood of the Outback, Broken Hill is a fascinating Outback experience, easily accessible from Sydney – experience underground mining life, indigenous experiences, and some truly fantastic Outback scenery.
Sydney Outdoors – a new independent travel idea for Sydney, designed to get the blood pumping – enjoy kayaking, hiking, a Sydney Bridge Climb, and sightseeing by bicycle.
Speaking of getting your blood pumping, get a thrill with the Swim with Great White Sharks tour in Port Lincoln, South Australia. See these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat from the safety of an underwater viewing chamber if you want to stay dry, or a shark cage for a little more excitement.
Brand new, and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity is a visit to the Field of Light Art Installation at Ayers Rock. Artist Bruce Munro has designed the Field of Light, 50,000 frosted glass spheres gently light the desert floor at dawn and at dusk, guests can immerse themselves in a number of ways with sunrise and sunset touring options including dinners, camel rides, and more.
A new indigenous experience from Darwin – the Ultimate Tiwi Islands. Operating between June and September, a lucky few will be able to immerse themselves in this very special Indigenous experience
