Goway Announces Marketing & Brand Transformation Led by New VP

The future of Goway is looking brighter than ever! We’re thrilled to announce that Mitchell Fawcett has joined the team as Vice President of Marketing. As we enter our 53rd year, Mitchell will spearhead our marketing and brand transformation, which will set the stage for global expansion in the coming years.

This marketing and brand transformation will be fueled by a complete rebranding—the first since Goway’s founding in 1970. A key part of this transformation will be the launch of a brand new goway.com later this year.

Mitchell will also grow the marketing team and offer a new editorial vision for the department. This new vision will strengthen the team and offer clarity for the company’s wide-reaching media properties and communications channels. As a part of his editorial stewardship, Mitchell will serve as Editor-in-Chief for Globetrotting Magazine, Goway’s print magazine.

“Mitchell is an experienced and thoughtful marketer and we’re thrilled to begin a total brand transformation with him,” says Bruce Hodge, Goway’s Founder and President. “He is a proven leader with a vision to expand on our half century of success. He also has the track record to help us grow as a company, while reinforcing our position as the first choice for Globetrotters to realize a lifetime of travel”.

“The world of travel has changed and Goway’s community of Globetrotters has changed with it, discovering new and innovative ways to plan travel and explore the world,” says Mitchell. “I’m excited to spearhead Goway’s marketing transformation and help the brand adapt to the changing expectations of our travelers.”

Before joining us, Mitchell was a dynamic marketer with a wealth of experience in all manner of marketing channels. He founded and ran his own communications agency until it was acquired by Vancouver-based Major Tom. With Major Tom, Mitchell served as VP Strategy, overseeing the agency’s strategy, creative, and social teams. During his 10 years in the agency world, he worked with leading travel brands, including W Hotels, Expedia, and KLM.

With Mitchell leading the marketing and brand transformation at Goway, incumbent Marketing Vice President Adam Hodge will transition to a new high-level role in the company’s broader organizational strategy.
