Equatorial Vortex

Many of us have heard about water draining down a sink in opposite direction depending on which hemisphere you are in – north or south. Any trip to Quito, the capital of Ecuador, also visits the actual equator itself! There, you can take in a demonstration of this amazing phenomenon.
