Traditional Ethiopian Food with Stews and Meats Served on Injera, Ethiopia

Located in the Horn of Africa, Ethiopia is a small but fascinating country. The oldest independent country in Africa, its cultures and traditions date back 3,000 years. Offering wildlife, adventures, and stunning natural scenery, you can also get a glimpse into the lifestyles of ancient tribes and their unique way of life.


World-renowned chef, author, and television host, Anthony Bourdain recently travelled to East Africa with celebrity chef, Marcus Samuelsson and his wife, Maya, to shoot “A Very Personal Look at Ethiopia”, for his CNN show, Parts Unknown. The trio ventured to the home towns of Marcus and Maya, in different parts of Ethiopia, to discover their family roots and sample the local cuisine. Samuelsson is best known for his New York City eateries, but also has restaurants in Chicago, Bermuda, Sweden, and Norway. Enjoy a taste of his show below!
