All this, with a huge focus on Aussie wines and locally produced foods. All trips include airfare with Virgin Australia, including those pesky taxes. We have packed so much into these trips it’s hard to know where to start.
Sydney, Brisbane and Dolphins (from $3899pp)
This trip focuses on Sydney and southern Queensland with special attention paid to all the little extras that make for a memorable experience. We asked ourselves what all the best wildlife, beach, reef, food and wine experiences were in the areas and then we set about including them in one holiday. We’ve handpicked the accommodations and included private transfers from Brisbane airport to the Holt Street Wharf because we know that you’ll be tired when you get off the flight and everyone loves to be met at the airport and not have to worry about navigating their way. We included 2 nights at Tangalooma Island Resort and arranged for free early check in (subject to availability). On Tangalooma you will participate in the Wild dolphin feeding program, go on a Marine Discovery cruise and be able to choose from over 40 free activities.
In Brisbane we have chosen the Oaks Festival Towers for 2 nights and included a full day tour to the Australia Zoo made famous by Steve Irwin, Crocodile Hunter and which is now operated by his family.
We have included a private transfer when you arrive in Sydney, to take you for a 4 night stay in the historic five star Radisson Blu Plaza, housed in a stunning 1850s sandstone façade. The hotel is located just minutes away from Circular Quay. Ensuring that you are well taken care of, we’ve arranged for a complimentary high tea at the hotel as well as gourmet packed picnic hamper for you to take to the park. During your time in Sydney you’ll take part in a small group Rocks Dreaming Heritage walking tour, a ½ day city sights tour to help you orient yourself to your surroundings, a jet boat ride of the Harbour (a total thrill), a Sydney Opera House Essentials tour, a Sydney Harbor cruise (an absolute must do), and your choice of entry into the world renowned Sydney Aquarium, Sydney Wildlife World or Madame Tussauds. In addition, to top this all off, we have also included a full day Hunter Valley small group tour called “Tastings in the Hunter – A Wine Lovers Adventure”, which includes lunch with wines paired specifically for your meal. With airfare and taxes included, this is one spectacular deal!
Hamilton Island & Sydney Food & Wine Lovers Adventure (from $3199pp)
For many people, no trip to Australia would be complete unless they can don flippers, mask and snorkel and explore the Great Barrier Reef, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Therefore, we have created this trip which includes a visit to Sydney with all the details just described above, but instead of Tangalooma and Brisbane, we’ve included a four night stay in Hamilton Island for some tropical indulgence and a full day trip to the reef with Cruise Whitsundays. On Hamilton Island, we’ve chosen the Reef View Hotel and included a free room upgrade (not available on all dates), full buffet breakfast daily, a half day Cruise Whitsundays trip, Whitehaven Beach, entry to Wildlife Hamilton Island for a breakfast with Koalas, and a free sunset cruise.
Sydney and Southern Australia (from $3799pp)
Want to experience animals AND the big city, but don’t want to have quite so much included, prefering to do your own thing? Well, this trip just includes the hotel and transfers in Sydney at the Menizes, and has a big wildlife focus on Kangaroo Island and the vineyards of Barossa Valley.
After you have thoroughly explored Sydney at your own pace you’ll fly to Adelaide in South Australia, be met and transferred to the world famous Barossa Valley wine region, and spend 2 nights at the Novotel Barossa Valley. The next day is yours to explore the area and indulge. Then, back to Adelaide for a night at the Majestic Roof Garden Hotel before heading out for a full day touring on Kangaroo Island and a night at the Seaside Inn. Kangaroo Island is known as the zoo with no fences. It is home to many of Australia’s unique and indigenous animals. We’ve included a 2 course gourmet lunch each day, a walk on the island’s most scenic beaches, as well as a National Park Ranger guided walk to see the seals, and a visit to both the Flinders Chase National Park and the Remarkable Rocks. There will be opportunities to cuddle a koala and feed some kangaroos. The last two nights are spent back in Adelaide and include your choice of walking tours. This package includes 8 breakfasts.
Wonderful Western Australia (from $2549pp)
Big city and beach not your thing? Not to worry we’ve thought of that too. This trip is designed to allow you to explore the little known but largest state in the country. The average tourist to Australia never really leaves the east coast – some never set foot out of Sydney, and we think this is a shame as it doesn’t truly reflect the Aussie experience. For those of you that love the outdoors and crave to get out on the open road, we have created a Western Australia adventure that introduces you to Perth, the state’s capital, but has you staying 2 nights at the Esplanade Hotel in the far more laid back sister city of Fremantle. Then, get into your Maui 2 Berth Motorhome (equipped with shower and toilet) for a 7 day freewheeling experience. We’ve provided a sample itinerary for travel up to Monkey Mia to see the dolphins but you can choose where you want to go. We’ve included air, transfers and taxes too.
Still don’t see quite what you want? We customize all of our trips, and can take anything out or add anything in to any and all of our itineraries. We have a team of Australia Experts available 6 days a week to help handcraft your trip tailoring it to suit your personal needs.
