Animal Spotlight: The Brazilian Hummingbird

The name comes from the fact that the bird flaps its wings so fast (about 80 times per second) that it makes a humming noise. With those impressive wings, hummingbirds can fly right, left, up, down, backwards, and even upside down. They are found only in the Western Hemisphere, from the top of North America to southern Chile, and there are more than 300 species of hummingbirds recorded.

While there are many types of humming birds in Brazil there is one in particular with a special friendship. Check out this video of a Brazilian man and his Hummingbird friend!
