What’s Hot in Europe: Our Favourite Group Itineraries of 2018

Our Europe Group Experts have had a very busy year creating customized itineraries to all parts of Europe for our industry partners. From Iceland to Croatia to Italy and Spain, and every country in between, experiential group travel is on the rise. For foodies, wine connoisseurs, cultural/historical buffs, followers of the faith, shopaholics, and even wellness seekers, Europe will never disappoint. Special interests are all greatly enhanced when like-minded Globetrotters travel together, and Groups Only has the experience and expertise to make them happen. Below is a spotlight on our top Europe experts and their favourite itineraries for the year. Because our itineraries are all customized for your group and budget, they are always available and ready to be ‘tweaked’ to suit the specific needs of your group.

Lee Nicholson
Lee has spent most of his life travelling, first with his family. later as a Tour Director, and now with Goway. He has many favourite destinations but one that is always on top of his list is Iceland for its unique culture, natural history and remoteness in the North Atlantic. Iceland is now on the radar of the group traveler due to increased accessibility from North America and Lee has become an expert in the destination. Here is one of his ‘fave’ itineraries: Nature of Iceland

Silvia Camolese
Born and bred in Milano, Silvia is an Italian through and through. Her travel career started in Italy and now, having moved to Canada with her family, she brings 20 years of experience to Goway, selling Italy and all of Europe with a passion. Her itineraries bring the ‘heart and soul’ of her homeland to every group. Silvia has many Italian favourites to share but she chose this one to highlight: Tuscany – A Gourmet Delight

Paula Polachek
Paula loves to create itineraries that are both fun and innovative. Whether you have a group of history buffs, or sun worshippers, or a combo of both, Paula has the expertise to incorporate everyone’s interest into her itineraries. One of our most popular destinations this year has been Greece. By all accounts, 2019 will be no different for the group traveler: Wonders of Classical Greece

Shelley Mussenden
Over the many years that Shelley has been selling groups, she has tackled every type of request with thought and creativity. From Camino Trail walking groups to Christmas Market Shoppers to golfers hitting the links in Ireland, Shelley has planned them all. She also likes to create itineraries that inspire, rejuvenate and educate. An itinerary to the cultural heart of Europe that incorporates faith, history and well-being is her pick: Europe in the time of the Reformation

Frank Lin
Frank is a long-time Goway employee and one of North America’s top group travel planners. He has done and planned it all, from women’s groups to singles groups, from religious groups to foodie groups. As an avid reader, always keen to learn, some of his best itineraries have incorporated educational components, whether it is including a lecture or organizing a behind-the-scenes visit, Frank has some great suggestions for all his itineraries. One of his most innovative tours was for a group wanting to delve into the literary history of England:  A Journey to the Literary Heart of England

No group is too big, too small or too unusual for the tour planning experts in Goway’s dedicated GroupsOnly Department!
