Cape to Cairo 2018 – Because One Discerning Journey Just Isn’t Enough

Due to high demand Goway Travel are now offering two departures on their Journey of a lifetime – The Cape to Cairo in 2018. The first starts in Cape Town on the 23 February 2018  and in order to offer the best possible location to witness the migration in the Serengeti at that time of year, accommodation is at the luxurious tented camp – Serengeti Under Canvas which is located in the Ndutu area of the Serengeti National Park. Whereas guests on the 28 September 2018 journey will find themselves at the Lemala Kuria Hills, located very close to the Mara River within the main corridor of the migration at this time of year.

The only other significant change to the itinerary is reversing the order of the Nile Cruise and the stay in Cairo, allowing us to include the spectacular Oberoi Philae as our luxurious floating hotel for the four night cruise from Luxor to Aswan. There is a spa onboard and Goway Guests get to indulge in a complimentary massage. There is no better way to soak in the 5000 years of Egyptian history and to view the ancient monuments and temples than from this deluxe vessel. The world heritage site of Abu Simbel is still included, and the journey ends with sweeping views of the pyramids from the rooms of the iconic Mena House Hotel, which truly is a stay of distinction.
