5 Selling Tips to Help You Book the Perfect Trip to Fiji

Fiji is a relatively small country but has a wide range of accommodation options to choose from and it can be easy for you and your client to become overwhelmed with choices!

Goway Travels team of IslandsEscapes experts, who have experienced the destination first-hand, can help you plan the perfect vacation for your client.

Here are our top 5 tips for booking that perfect Fiji vacation:

1. Book a stay in a “Bure”. At select properties, the lead-in room category is a resort room. We highly recommend you upgrade your clients to stay in a “Bure,” a freestanding Fijian-style bungalow, which features a traditional design and a thatched roof, along with modern deluxe amenities. We love the Beachfront Pool Bure at Tokoriki Island Resort, which is 60 square metres in size and comes with a private plunge pool.

2. Special Touches. Consider offering your clients some special upgrade ideas, including recommending Business Class on Fiji Airways. You can pre-book your clients a pass to the Essence of Fiji Rejuvenation Centre, five minutes from Nadi Airport, or a scenic seaplane transfer to their resort, which is especially nice for those short on time. Always ensure you advise Goway if your clients are celebrating a special occasion, such as an anniversary, birthday or honeymoon, as most resorts will offer their guests something complementary.

3. Stay Longer in One Resort to Save. Most resorts offer free nights for travellers as an incentive for spending 6 or 7 days in their property. For example, Qamea Resort and Spa has a year-round, “Stay 7 Nights, Pay for Only 5 Nights” special. The best promotions are typically for travel from November 1 to March 31, as this is Fiji’s slightly wetter, more humid season (still a great time to go).

4. Pre-Purchasing Meals Can Be Great Value. Many resorts in Fiji offer you a meal plan which you can purchase at the time of your reservation (and pay in your local currency). This makes the trip hassle-free as it removes the stress of spending money. It’s also often better value since it saves you the additional taxes you’d be subject to in destination. Some resorts even have special promotions, such as Castaway Resort, which offers a daily resort credit.
